DEFIBRILLATOR FOR BENIDOLEIG CIVIL DEFENCE GROUP

BREAKING NEWS – last weekend this defibrillator was used to save someone’s life, thank you to everyone for helping us make this happen.

The Original Charity Shop and Library recently received a request from a newly formed Civil Defence group in Benidoleig to help finance a defibrillator. Group coordinator, Simon Lunn, explained that there are now nine people on board with experience in first-aid and life saving, but because the nearest hospital is 15 minutes away they are in need of a defibrillator, which is an essential piece of life-saving equipment. The Original Charity Shop and Library are very happy to supply the necessary funds to purchase this vital piece of equipment. The photo shows the mayor of Benidoleig, Jose Vicente Pons Peris and Simon Lunn accepting the cheque for 1,254€ from the treasurer, Sylvia Jackson.
