Volunteers of The Original Charity Shop and Library, Javea
On a visit to the Red Cross

The Red Cross invited the volunteers to the headquarters in Javea to say thank you for the recent donation of €5,000. They were given a tour of the premises and a demonstration on how the ambulance service works. This was followed by a presentation of the new Red Cross Teleasistencia service. This is better known as a “panic button” system which brings security and peace of mind for users and their families. For further information about this service please see: www.cruzroja.es/teleasistencia

The volunteers were also treated to tapas and drinks and President Georgina Harvey was delighted to receive a gift as a token of their gratitude.
